Judge dismisses Trump administration lawsuit over Harvard admissions data
A federal judge dismissed the Trump administration's lawsuit demanding admissions data from Harvard University.[1, 2, 3] U.S. District Judge Myong J. Joun in Boston issued the ruling Monday.[1]
The administration had sought records including student application essays to check whether Harvard was complying with a court decision banning affirmative action.[2] The judge said the Department of Justice did not follow all legally required steps to get a court order compelling Harvard to comply with its demands.[1]
