Ohio State replaces BYU at No. 2 in the latest AP Top 25 poll
Ohio State moved up to No. 2 and replaced BYU, which fell six spots to No. 8 after a double-overtime loss at UCF.[2, 6] The AP Top 25 college football poll went through another major reordering after an upset-filled Week 8.[6, 7] Miami held the top spot and was the only team to keep its position, leading Ohio State, Georgia, Indiana and Notre Dame.[6, 7]
BYU was one of seven ranked teams that lost in Week 8, according to ABC News.[1] Utah and UCLA rose in the rankings, and Texas jumped eight places.[2, 7] Fox News reported the Big Ten gained equal footing with the SEC in the poll.[2]
