Packers' Christian Watson returns after hospital trip for chest injury
Packers wide receiver Christian Watson was taken by ambulance to a local hospital during the first half of Thursday night's game against the Panthers for evaluation of a chest injury.[7, 10, 12] The injury came after a hard collision while Watson was making a 53-yard catch.[7, 12] Carolina cornerback Will Lee was also hurt on the play and left the field on a cart.[7]
The team said the hospital trip was for precautionary reasons, according to ESPN.[10] Watson later returned to the game at Lambeau Field, ESPN and Fox News reported; Fox News reported he rode the ambulance back in full pads.[6, 10]
