Treasury yields rise ahead of Fed interest-rate decision
Yields on U.S. Treasurys rose in Asian trade on Wednesday ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision later in the day.[3] Treasury yields edged higher as traders awaited the central bank's latest monetary policy decision, CNBC reported.[1]
The Hill reported that bond yields ticked up Wednesday morning, with investors expecting the Fed to keep borrowing costs steady.[2] The 10-year Treasury yield was trading above 5.02 percent as of mid-morning, up roughly 3 basis points from Tuesday's close, according to The Hill.[2]
