Apple acknowledges iPhone Duo inner display cracking issue
Owners of Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, are reporting cracked inner displays, and Apple has acknowledged an issue affecting a small number of units.[1, 2, 10] Reports of cracks emerged on Reddit and social media after the handset went on general sale globally on Friday, with some customers saying the display cracked after hours or days of use.[1, 2]
Apple said in a statement to Bloomberg and 9to5Mac that it was aware of an issue impacting the inner display and would replace affected devices under its AppleCare warranty.[3, 10] Forbes reported that Apple confirmed it is investigating the issue.[4]
