Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards out up to two months after knee surgery
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards needs an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee and will miss up to two months, according to multiple reports.[1, 4, 5] Edwards scored 47 points against Cleveland before the Timberwolves announced the surgery, Fox News reported.[4] The Guardian, citing the Associated Press, reported a person with knowledge of the matter said Tuesday that the procedure will alleviate issues with his right knee.[1]
Edwards, a four-time All-Star, was averaging 33.3 points through the first four games, per The Guardian.[1] The Timberwolves said Edwards will be 'good as new' after surgery for a lingering injury to his right knee, with no long-term concern.[2, 6]
