Berkeley math professor stops grading homework over AI use
A University of California, Berkeley, math professor has stopped grading homework for accuracy, saying student use of artificial intelligence has made the exercise pointless.[2, 3] Richard Borcherds told The California Post that so many students rely on AI to complete regular homework assignments that there is no point in grading them.[2] Newsweek reported that universities are embracing oral exams and other assessment methods as AI raises questions about traditional assignments.[1]
