Report: suspected Chinese spy had close ties to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang
A New York Times report says U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Alice Huang, also known as Huang Le, an executive at Singapore-based data center company Megaspeed, was passing information to Beijing and had developed a close relationship with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, to whom she is of no relation.[3, 4, 8] President Trump was briefed on the findings about a year ago and did not take action, the Times reported.[4, 7, 27] Nvidia disputed the report, saying the diversion allegations were 'thoroughly investigated and debunked last year.'[6, 11]
Jensen Huang said the chipmaker's dealings with Megaspeed International were 'normal and not unusual.'[5] NBC News reported it has not independently confirmed the details of the investigation.[10]
