Lindsay Clancy returns to court as defense seeks to block retrial
Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother accused of killing her three children, returned to court Monday as her lawyers seek to dismiss the murder charges.[1, 6, 8 +1] Her lawyers argue that a new trial would violate double jeopardy rules.[1]
Her trial ended in September with a deadlocked jury that was unable to reach a verdict, resulting in a mistrial.[1] Monday's hearing was the second time Clancy has been in court since the trial ended.[1]
