12 injured, 11 with gunshot wounds, in shooting near Florida A&M stadium
A shooting near Florida A&M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee on Saturday night left 12 people injured, 11 of them with gunshot wounds, police said.[2, 5, 8 +1] Tallahassee Chief of Police Lawrence Revell said six victims are adults and six are juveniles, with the youngest 11 years old.[14, 33] Police said a fight involving a small number of people broke out in a crowded area shortly before 8 p.m. and escalated into gunfire.[17, 22]
The shooting occurred on homecoming weekend, hours after the university's football game.[4, 12, 30] Revell said no arrests had been made, and CBS News reported police are searching for a gunman.[7, 30] Fox News reported five victims have been released from the hospital, six remain hospitalized and one is in critical condition.[20]
