White House video of Catholic leaders praying with Trump draws archbishop rebuke
The White House shared a video of Catholic leaders praying with President Donald Trump.[2] One of the participating archbishops publicly rebuked the sharing of the video, saying it was done without permission.[1, 2] Catholic leaders said the prayer meeting was not intended to be political.[2]
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops described the prayer meeting as an attempt to hijack the message of the organization.[1] The "Trump War Room" account on X posted the video last week.[1]
