Fired 60 Minutes correspondent Cecilia Vega says it hurts to watch CBS overhaul
Former 60 Minutes correspondent Cecilia Vega said at a Thursday evening talk in Washington, D.C. that it hurts to watch changes at CBS News, where she was fired this spring.[1, 2] Vega said she still doesn't know why she was let go, and Mediaite reported she said she was fired "without cause."[3]
The Guardian reported Vega repeated allegations that she was told to insert "factually untrue" content at the show.[2] Vega also cited a ratings slump at the show, and The Daily Beast reported she tied the show's trajectory to Bari Weiss's takeover.[1, 2]
