Pentagon probes freezer failures at US military commissaries
The Pentagon is investigating refrigeration failures at more than half a dozen U.S. military commissaries in August, and cybersecurity experts suspect a possible connection to hackers who pushed freezers at hundreds of French supermarkets to 122 degrees, Fortune reported.[1] WorldNetDaily reported that the machines suddenly went into defrost mode, warming food that then spoiled.[2] The French freezer incident involved hackers, according to Fortune.[1]
