Apollo economist says AI has brought 'zero payoff' to companies outside tech
Apollo Global Management Chief Economist Torsten Slok said artificial intelligence has provided "zero payoff" to corporate America outside of technology.[1, 3] The assessment comes despite significant investments in AI, according to Bloomberg's report of Slok's comments.[1]
Business Insider reported that Apollo said only tech companies are seeing growth from the AI boom.[2] TechCrunch quoted the assessment as saying AI has delivered zero financial payoff to corporate America outside of tech despite massive investments and widespread hype.[3]
