Website publishes data on over 40,000 DHS employees
The leak website Distributed Denial of Secrets published data Wednesday on more than 40,000 Department of Homeland Security employees.[1, 2] The Guardian reported the dataset includes details about officials working in sensitive fields such as surveillance and human intelligence.[1] The Hill reported some of the employees work in the intelligence community.[2]
DDoSecrets did not identify the source of the personnel information, referring to the unnamed individual as the "Department of Peace."[2] The Guardian reported this is the collective's third such government data disclosure in the last month.[1]
