US cancels G20 group photo as European diplomats refuse to pose with Lavrov
The United States cancelled the traditional group photo at the G20 foreign ministers meeting in Atlanta after several European diplomats refused to be photographed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.[4, 7, 10] Secretary of State Marco Rubio pulled the plug on the photo, which he had organized for participants in the two-day meeting that opened Friday.[2, 7] The rifts among the group's top diplomats underscore deep divisions over multiple wars and other global crises.[1, 7]
