Woman shot outside Virginia GOP headquarters; manhunt underway
A woman was shot outside the Republican Party of Virginia's headquarters in Richmond on Thursday afternoon, and a manhunt is underway to find the assailant.[3, 7] The Washington Examiner reported the woman was swiftly taken inside the building and treated by first responders.[7] No injuries among on-site staff were reported, according to The Washington Examiner.[7]
The Republican Party of Virginia said all staff members are safe and there is no indication the shooting was politically connected.[3] ABC News reported the party said the shooting appears unrelated to its operations.[1] It is not known whether the shooting was political in nature, The Right Scoop reported.[5]
