Obama rallies for Ossoff and Bottoms in Georgia before Election Day
Former President Barack Obama campaigned with Sen. Jon Ossoff and Keisha Lance Bottoms at a rally outside Atlanta on Wednesday evening, less than a week before Election Day.[8, 21, 32 +1] The Daily Signal reported the rally was held in Morrow, Georgia, south of Atlanta, while The Guardian described it as suburban Atlanta.[8, 32] Obama was stumping for Ossoff, who is seeking re-election to the Senate, and Bottoms, a former Atlanta mayor running for governor.[8, 11, 21 +1]
Obama attacked President Donald Trump and the Republican Party at the rally, saying, "These are not serious people," according to The Guardian.[8] The Washington Examiner reported Obama also jabbed Trump over White House "arts and crafts," following earlier comments about Trump's ballroom and additions to the White House.[35] Ahead of the rally, the Georgia GOP launched a website highlighting what it called Ossoff's "failures" and ties to socialists, The Daily Signal reported.[32]
