Woman shot outside Virginia GOP headquarters in Richmond
A woman was shot Thursday afternoon just outside the Republican Party of Virginia's headquarters in Richmond and was taken inside the building, where first responders treated her.[2, 7] The Washington Examiner reported that no injuries among on-site staff were reported.[7] The Republican Party of Virginia said all staff members are safe and that the shooting appears unrelated to its operations.[1, 2]
Richmond's police chief said the shooting had nothing to do with the upcoming midterm elections.[5] A manhunt is underway to find the assailant, who had not been located as of the latest reports.[7]
