FBI searches Beverly Hills mansion tied to Eric Swalwell probe
The FBI searched a Beverly Hills mansion early Tuesday as part of its investigation into former Rep. Eric Swalwell, according to multiple outlets.[4, 10, 24 +1] The home belongs to billionaire Stephen Cloobeck, a donor who spent over $1 million backing Swalwell, The Daily Wire and IJR reported.[18, 24]
The warrant affidavit remains sealed, and FBI sources told Raw Story no arrests were made.[2, 24] Swalwell resigned from Congress and dropped his 2026 California gubernatorial bid in April amid sexual misconduct allegations from five women, one of whom accused him of rape.[12, 15]
