California voters to decide on billionaire wealth tax
A high-quality poll midway through this summer found California Democrats favored the measure by a ratio of more than 4 to 1, The Guardian reported.[2] The state's most powerful Democrats oppose the measure, according to The Guardian, while the state Democratic Party supports it.[1, 2] Mother Jones reported that many unions and prominent Democrats also oppose the initiative, which had been polling well before appearing to lose ground.[1]
